Performance Venues and Galleries at CUA
Hartke Theater The oldest suburban theater in Washington, DC, the Hartke Theater, founded by Father Gilbert V. Hartke as a venue for The Catholic University of America's Department of Drama, puts on both original and adapted works.
The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music and Ward Recital Hall The Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents more than 200 performances annually, ranging from solo recitals to opera. The music school's affiliate, The Summer Opera Theatre Company, Inc., offers professional productions of full-length operas to Washington-area audiences and employs a number of students.
Program Board Program Board coordinates a variety of performance events for the CUA community.
Salva Regina Art Gallery Located with the university Art Department, the Salva Regina Art Gallery hosts exhibitions of student art.
May Gallery The May Gallery has been dedicated to the memory of the first Mullen Scholar, Timothy C. May (1903-1969), by his nephew, Timothy J. May, Class of 1954. The May Gallery is a space set aside to display the most valued treasures of The Catholic University of America Libraries, a venue for celebrating special events and a sanctuary for quiet reading and reflection. |
